20th Annual Gathering of Veterans & Patriots
Schedule of Daily Events
SATURDAY August 8th:
8 a.m. – Gate opens
10 a.m. – Opening Ceremony – Beginning with the National Anthem, sung by Ret. Air Force TSgt. Felita LaRock & 5 Aircraft Flyover, Pledge of Allegiance & Opening Prayer (Saturday Only)
10:30 a.m. – Opening remarks, update & progress report on the “National American Huey History Museum” and Thank You’s. Introduction of the “GOLDSTARS TRIBUTE WALL” whose Mission promotes awareness to the public about the Sacrifices made to maintain the Constitutional Freedoms we exercise today. We strive to Honor those who paid the ultimate price for those liberties and remind their Families they will not be forgotten. The Gold Stars Tribute Wall TM exists to Honor the Fallen while serving in the United States Military from the beginning of the Gulf War through the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Introduction of its Founder and Gulf War Marine, Samuel Nicoara.
11:00 a.m. – Annual Benefit Auction with Combat Vietnam Veteran “Grunt” Rex Gordon auctioning items for his 21st year!
A Catered Lunch will follow the auction. With us this year, Wild Bills BBQ, So Tam Good Food Truck, Just Pork, Home Team Ice Cream & Fresh Fix Café Lemon Shake Up’s.
The Combat Air/Ground Re-enactment will follow lunch. The re-enactment will be narrated by Combat Vietnam veteran Dust Off Pilot Phil Marshall with the Black Lions, 3 American Huey 369 organization Hueys, 369, 803 and Gunship 049, and Vietnam Veteran Loach Pilot, Peter Bales & his Vietnam Veteran OH6 Loach, “Little Bird” Bandit 026.
Membership Living History Flight Experience Flights will begin immediately following the re-enactment and fly until 5 p.m.
After hours music with Troy Miller & The Time Travelers Band
CELEBRATE OUR COUNTRIES 250TH ANNIVERSARY
with Fireworks at dark provided by Andy Zielinsky, Matt Chilcutt & Brady Saylor.

IN THE MAIN MUSEUM DISPLAY AREA (IN, OH & MI)
SUNDAY August 9th:
9 a.m. – Gate Opens
10 a.m. – Sunday Morning non-denominational service with Donna Steer and Rev. Tom Beaty.
12 p.m. – Lunch with Wild Bills BBQ, So Tam Good Food Truck, Just Pork, Home Team Ice Cream & Smash N’ Lemons, Lemon Shake Ups.
Approx. 1 p.m. – Combat Air/Ground Re-enactment (see description above)
Membership Living History Flight Experience flights begin immediately after the re-enactment until 4 p.m.
