S.R. 19 to close for box culvert work on or after April 6, 2023

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of State Road 19 south of Peru.

Starting on or after April 6, crews will begin working on a box culvert between E 400 S and E 500 S. Work is expected to last for two weeks. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use Business U.S. 24, U.S. 31 and State Road 218, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
